{fifty-two on friday week 3 | joy} phoenix, az photographer

this is week 3 of our 52 on friday project.  last week’s black and white post for this project can be found here and our first week’s self portrait is here.  most you of you probably know by now that me and a group of 19 other photographers have joined together to challenge each other on a theme every week.

this week’s theme is JOY.  i thought, “jump for joy”!

okay, sorry to get personal and break some rules, but i couldn’t stop thinking about this picture when we were assigned JOY and how no other image has captured it more.  about 3 months ago i was able to deliver my baby, tate, at home.  i feel so much joy from this picture for many reasons: seeing my mom’s hands on one side and my husband’s on the other, relief, peace, gratitude, crazy, unexplainable love for this little babe i’ve been carrying for 9 months, and such pure JOY.   when you are pregnant with another child… you never think you can love the next one as much as your first.  of course, you realize very quickly that you are given a gift for a greater capacity to love.   next week i promise not to get so personal and expand my subject matter to something other than those that dwell with me.

now click on over to the creative Shannon Harrison | Jack and Ruby Studios| Temecula California Photographer to see how she expresses JOY.

I remember thinking how could I love another baby as much as I already love this little guys sitting in front of me. But you do!
Love is the only thing that can be multiplied and not diminish. :)

Aubry- I am speechless over that last photo. How envious I am of you to have such a treasure. My husband brought in the zoom lens into the very tiny OR so every picture was out of focus…. I am still not laughing about that day. You are a lucky dog!

lisa schoneberger - January 27, 2011 - 4:16 am

Goosebumps all over…tears in my eyes. A moment to remember forever.
